    VU's Real Estate Private Equity & REIT Investor Accelerator is an 11 week live Triple Certificate Program which includes Three Executive Education Programs and a Real Estate Private Equity & REIT Investment Apprenticeship.

    Real Estate Private Equity & REIT Investment Apprenticeship: 3-12 Months

     

    • Gain High Quality Real Estate Private Equity & REIT Investment Experience: 

    • Join A Real Estate Private Equity & REIT Investment Team: Become a Analyst, Associate, Principal or Partner-In-Residence at VU Capital Partners, a global private equity fund focused on Real Estate, Leveraged Buyouts, PIPEs, Pre-IPOs, and Growth Equity.
    • Develop Expertise: Choose a vertical investment team - Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Industrial Real Estate, & REITS.
    • Build A Track Record: Make ~1-2 real estate investments each quarter.
    • Build Skills: Focus on deal sourcing, conducting due diligence, investment evaluation, presenting your top deals at weekly Partners Meetings, making investment recommendations, and participate on the Investment Committee.

    • Profit Sharing Agreement: Share in the financial upside on the investments made.

     

    • Career Strategy & Development: Resume updating, career coaching, interview prep, job references, and recommendations.

     

    • Networking: Join calls with real estate private equity funds, investors, attend real estate private equity networking events, and attend VU alumni events.

     

    • Real Estate Private Equity Job Recruiting: Each quarter VU receives exclusive job opportunities from Real Estate Private Equity funds hiring and matches them with VU cohort members and VU alumni.

     

    • REVERSE DEMO DAY: The cohort presents the thesis for each portfolio company investment made during the quarter.

    Schedule

     

    Join VU's Real Estate Private Equity & REIT Investor Accelerator for 1-4 quarters (~3-12 months) depending on the amount of real estate private equity investment experience you are looking to gain and the size of track record you are looking to build.

     

    At VU you can build a track record of investing in ~1-6 investments over 3-12 months.

     

    VU Runs 4 Cohorts Per Year: Winter, Spring, Summer, & Fall.

     

    U.S. Cohort Dates:

    • Winter 2024: Jan 15 - Mar 29

    • Spring 2024: Apr 1 - Jun 14

    • Summer 2024: Jun 17 - Aug 30

    • Fall 2024: Sep 30 - Dec 13

     

    Time Commitment:

    • Full-Time: 11 Weeks, 5 Days per Week, Mon-Fri, ~9 am-5 pm
    • Flexible: 11 Weeks, Minimum of ~20 Hours per Week

    Below is an example provided for explanatory purposes only.

    Actual amounts and results may vary per cohort.

    Investment Fund: A Venture University cohort of 40 individuals invests in 5 companies, investing $1,000,000 across the five companies ($200K per company). Venture University contributes $150K in Apprenticeship Program Capital to the Investor Syndicate and $850K is contributed by VU's LPs (accredited investors) to the Investor Syndicate.

     

    Five Investments: The Investor Syndicate invests in five companies at $200K each ($30K per company from the Apprenticeship Program Capital and $170K per company from VU's LPs.

     

    Future Outcome: At some point in the future, the five portfolio companies either die or have liquidity events via acquisitions or IPOs, and return 0x, 1x, 2x, 6x, and 20x capital invested, for a total return of 5.8x capital invested, turning $1M into $5.8M.

     

    Profit Sharing:

    • Apprenticeship Program Capital: Based on this scenario each of the 40 individuals that participated in Venture University's VC/PE Investment Apprenticeship Program would receive $15K, sharing 80% of the profits from the Apprenticeship Program Capital, returning 1x the cost of the Investment Apprenticeship Program.*
